How to Install Android on Your Windows 7, Windows Vista or Windows XP

Android is one of the most famous and best operating system ever. This operating system is for smartphone and tablets such as, Nexus S etc. Android has countless users worldwide and you probably have an Android device like me. But what if you don't have Android but still wanna use it?
Here is the solution. You can now install Android on your windows 7, Windows Vista or Windows XP for free. You can check the features of Android, install apps and do many thing else without paying a penny. Isn't that cool?

So, here is the step by step tutorial on how to install Android on your Windows. Check it out below.

How to install Android on Windows Vista, Windows XP or Windows 7

  • It is not that difficult to install Android on Windows. It is very easy to install Android on Windows. First of all, Download Android SDK for Windows from this link. After downloading, open it (if you have download exe file) and extract the file with WinRAR (if you have downloaded zip file). 
  • Once it is started, it will ask you for the packages to install. Well, default settings are good enough so, leave it default and select the option Accept all and then click on Install button to install. It will download the packages from internet. It will take some minutes to download and install packages (depending on your internet speed) so, be patient until it download and install packages from internet.
  • (If this software ask you to you to install JDK, then go to this link and click on Java Platform (JDK) 7 and select package that suites your OS).
  • When the download is complete and software is installed, click on the New button on the right side under Virtual Devices tab. Enter the following parameters:
Name: Give it any nae of your own choice
Target: Select Android 3.2 or any version of Android (Your own choice).
SD Card Size: You can select any one of your own choice. 1024 (1 GB) and 2048 (2GB) etc.


  • When the AVD is successfully created then, click on OK. And then select the already created Virtual Box device (AVD) and click on Start.
  • Leave the parameters to default settings because it is good enough for a normal person and then click on Launch. Wait until the Android boot. It will take a while to load and when it is fully loaded, you can now use your Android OS.
  • Done.
I hope you like this trick. There is also another way to install Android on your windows which is by Virtualization Software (Virtual Box) but, Android SDK is the recommended method.
